The Vols' RPI was #10 after beating Ole Miss. I'm no RPI expert, so I don't know how playing and losing (or margin of defeat) effects RPI when you face a really high RPI team.

But don't be surprised to see the Committee either screw us and give us a 6 or 7 seed, or shock us and give us a 3 seed. Now that Slive, who hates UT, is off the Commitee, we may actually benefit.

Looking at Lunardi's latest, I envy many of the 6 and 7 seeds over us, projected as a 4 seed, possibly facing Michigan State in the 2nd round and then Kansas.

That blows.

Isn't it great though that UT isn't on that bubble and the only thing we as fans have to sweat is the seed and not whether or not we are going to the N.I.T ??.....Hasn't always been that way....I still think the Vols will be a 4....

I'm with you, wise. I would almost rather be a 14 seed playing wisconsin, then texas a&m, then butler or new mexico. Some things just don't make sense. i would like to be a fly on the wall to hear the things that are said in that room. i bet it's a lot like congress, a bunch of idiots just running their mouths until everybody gets tired of it.

Margin of victory isn't counted in the RPI. If anything, just playing Kentucky helps even though we lost. We should still have a good RPI

does not matter when or who we play, you still have to beat good teams to get very far in the tourney.

4 Seed in the East bracket is my prediction. I believe they keep them close to home.

I think we stay close to home, but I highly doubt they give us UK's bracket, and it is the general thought that UK will be in the East bracket

Since Kansas won their tournament, it's highly unlikely that Kentucky will get the #1 overall seed. That means Kentucky is most likely headed to the East region in Syracuse.

Doesn't make a difference for UK fans, if the game was played in Russia, they would fill the arena.

The title of this thread certainly has it right. I still remember staring at the TV when they said we got a 2 seed in Pearl's first year...

I believe we're a 4. Might be a 5 after yesterday, but we'll have to wait and see.

True, but I was also sitting there staring at the TV when we got a 9 seed last year. I was expecting around a 6-7 last year.
