So the question is who would we like most to see get the scholarship.

Rufus Williams, a 6-foot-3, 225-pound defensive end/linebacker from Mims, Fla.

or

Dennis Rogan Fulton High School RB & Class 3A Mr. Football finalist

Neither have enrolled. I guess What Im asking is if we had a need for one over the other. If grey shirting you do not inroll untill next year therefore the scholarship goes towards next year not this year.

Rogan was cleared by the NCAA’s academic clearinghouse last week, but hasn't enrolled.

if you greyshirt, doesn't the scholarship count towards this year because you enroll in January?

Sit out this year, don't count on scholly till next year. Pay fall tuition out of pocket. One of the local kids would greyshirt(Maples or Hawkins, imo) if both get in.

The Vols have 27 scholarships available for the 2007 class.

Three of the 32 signees will attend junior college, and one requested and received a release from his letter of intent.

Defensive back C.J. Fleming has enrolled at Tennessee, bringing the number of football signees on campus to 26.
That leaves just two of the Vols’ 32 signees who have yet to enroll either at UT or a junior college.

32 - 3(jc) = 29 - 1(released) = 28

26 are already enrolled(scholarshiped) and on campus including Maples and Hawkins.

So either Rogan or Williams will have to greyshirt.

Greyshirt goes against next years scholarships. When greyshirting they can't enroll until next year January 08'

Receivers Update: Former Maryville standout Tyler Maples has resumed offseason workouts after being sidelined with a minor injury this summer.
Maples, who enrolled in June, has been more limited in voluntary workouts this summer than other incoming receivers.

You can be enrolled but you have to pay your own way.
