despite shooting horribly from 3 and FT and being outrebounded by a dreadful amount, we scrapped and could have won. The refs should have never had a chance to screw us but we allowed that. In saying all of this, I am damn proud of our boys today. Oden killed us for the first 25 minutes but after that, nothing. The future is looking bright.

I just hope they can get over these two last minute losses and get there heads straight for the Auburn game on Wednesday.

Being cold from the 3 point line killed us today.

If this team is hot from the 3 there'll be few teams that can compete.

Gotta love Pearl.

yep, i agree. Just dont count on them winning any big road games this year, and NCAA games are road games too

NCAA games are road games for both teams and alot of teams are just as bad away from home as we are. Do ya'll not think that we improved over the last two games? This is still a very young team. As long as we keep improving, we will be very dangerous come tournament time. I don't know how to answer that don't count on blah blah blah crap. We lost to a top 5 team on our worst shooting game of the year away and with the refs in their back pocket. We lost on a last possession shot. We shoot like regular and that game isn't even close. I'm not saying we beat Arky, UK, UF, etc all on the road, but I wouldn't be surprised to win a big road game or two before postseason.

How do you know we can shoot well on the road? Have we proved that yet? You are being too assumptive. Maybe we wont shoot good on the road all year.

They scored 81 points at Vandy. Scoring on the road didn't seem to be a problem on Wednesday.

Lofton and Jujuan were pretty good on the road last year. So far Jujuan hasn't shown up on the road yet, Lofton did once. Tabb isn't a shooter. Ramar has played pretty well in the last two games. Duke and Wayne have had problems but weren't the keys in either game.

Vandy scored 82. Yeah I take that back, we shot ok, but that wasnt a complete game. How do you know we will have a complete game with offense from Vandy and the Defense from OSU?

Teams get lousy calls year in and year out, we have to get over it and move on, the hand is quicker than the eye and there is no replay in BB. I think Pearl is doing a good job with this team and with the BB program, if he keeps it up we will surpass the football program (LOL). We have to continue to work hard and improve, besides you dont have to go undefeated to win the NC. Go Vols.

We shot 11-23 from 3 vs Vandy(6 of the misses were Jujuan). We shot 32-66 overall.

We had our worst game of the year against a top 5 team and nearly won.

We don't have to play a complete game to win most of the games left on the schedule. We have to do good in one aspect and a little better in the other. We play a little better defense or shoot FTs better vs Vandy and we win. We shoot a little better vs OSU and we win. It is highly unlikely that we play that bad on offense many more times this year.

% wise it was worse, but we didn't have nearly the looks vs Butler that we did vs OSU. Did you see that wide open 3 for Lofton that he missed? Wow.

Because they've already accomplished both of them on the road, perhaps? I don't know why it's so far out of reach to believe they can put a complete game together on the road. They played bad against a bad team in Vandy, and they ran into a top five team at home today.

I was remote-throwingly mad at the loss, because we fought back hard, had the game won, and blew it. But, after calming down and gaining perspective, the fact remains: this team is young and improving. I'm very pleased with the development of the half-court defense, in particular. Two losses in a row that can be attributed to free-throw shooting really sticks in my craw, though. And JaJuan has basically taken back-to-back games off: today he had as many points as fouls (5) and threw up some TERRIBLE shots that weren't even close.

I agree with Hat: the next three games against the SEC bottom-feeders are must-wins. Win those three, and UT will be 16-4 and re-ranked when they go into Rupp Arena. (I expect them to drop out of the Top 25 after 2 losses this week) I'm not ready to concede the Rupp Arena game; we beat them there last year, and although Kentucky has won 9 in a row, they have yet to beat one good team so far this year.

at Auburn, South Carolina, at Mississippi, at Kentucky, Georgia, at Florida, LSU, Vanderbilt, Kentucky.

If I had to pick, I'd say we need to beat Auburn, South Carolina, Mississippi, Georgia, Vandy, at least split with UK, and at least split with UF/LSU. We really need to beat UK or UF away to gain road confidence.
