Don't get me wrong here, I love Coker, but couldn't I create a wikipedia page that I was gonna be the starting tailback for the Volunteers?

I really don't know much about Wikipedia.....it's a fake dictionary or something?

It can be a good reference, depending on the importance of the knowledge you are seeking. Often it can get you on the right track, but I wouldn't use it as the gospel. Anyone that wants to can get on there and edit those entries. The Phil Fulmer wikipedia entry used to say something about him eating 1,000 hot dogs.

I'll use it every now and then to point me in the right direction, but I generally look for other sources to confirm anything I've read on wikipedia.

Why would someone make an online dictionary that anyone can edit

A good portion of the entries were added by people that know what they are talking about. Some of the more science-related stuff is pretty good. Even so, you have to be somewhat skeptical of anything you read on there.

Yeah, Wikipedia has been accepted by some of my professors as a source for term papers and such.
