Next year. He said he is considering it.

He is a senior but is eligible for a medical redshirt after undergoing season ending shoulder surgery. JRM was injured in the third game of the season against Ohio

If he has decent draft stock, he should run to the NFL. IMO, of course, but not worth taking the chance at another injury next season. Go get paid.

He might not have a choice. Two shoulder injuries in two years isn't good for his NFL draft prospects. Like Curt Maggitt. Could use a healthy year to show he can stay that way,

If he gets a decent draft grade, I agree. But, given his injury history, he might not get that grade.

Im sure a lot of people will advise him to go as he should. Get to the NFL and start working towards that 2nd contract.

I don't blame him for bolting for the NFL if he does. Selfishly, as a fan, I would love to see him and DKJr actually suit up for the entirety of a season. I feel like we missed out on one of the greatest LB corps in program history.

DONT get your hopes up as Maybin is 110% gone.......once he gets a 3rd round grade from the NFL...............

What makes you so sure that's his grade. I agree if that's what he gets but NFL teams will tread cautiously with players who make a living with wrapping up and hitting with shoulders.

I don't there there is gonna be enough $$$ in the NFL for a guy coming off two shoulder surgeries.

I think he needs a redemption year.

Not sure why he'd consider it when you look at the situation, but hey I wouldn't be complaining if he wanted to wear the Power T one more year

My advice- stop playing special teams. CBJ should have known better!

Don't think that's the answer. Most all college and NFL coaches play a lot of their starters on special teams. For example, saw Patrick Peterson on kick coverage for the Cardinals last night.

I wouldn't consider a LB returning because he was injured and thus needed to spend an additional year away from making money a "positive". If he can go pro, he needs to. His body isn't getting any younger.
