We absolutely can't lose this game at Bristol. I'm not talking about rankings. Not talking about SEC. I'm talking about how we will be perceived by the national public. You don't even have to be a sports fan. Biggest college football game EVER. On a Saturday where every other team is playing cupcakes. Guys, this is like the Olymics. Let's get the Gold!

I truly believe we will see a 360 when it comes to our offense and play calling. Debord and Jones are actually very competent when it comes to offense despite what we seen last game. I see a 31-17 game but of course jmo.

I just don't see this team leaving Bristol without completely destroying Tech. You could say, "well they were suppose to destroy App State" but the play book should be wide open and this team will be hyped for this game. It's huge. They don't have the linebackers to stop our rushing attack and I could see our dline abusing them all night.

Well Guys and Gals let us hope for the best, Saturday can't get here soon enough. A week seems long in the working world, I forgot how much longer a Week is at football time!

Go Vols Beat VT

Lose and cancel football

Not necessarily. In 2014 the Ohio state struggled in its early game. Then lost in a shocker to va tech. What happened after that? They went on to win the national championship that same year. No one wants to win this game more than I do. Trust me. I live in Blacksburg. I work for va tech. I personally think we win. But if we don't it won't be the end of the season. We can still go on to achieve great things.

I think va tech is more like the offenses our d is designed to stop. App state took our best asset on defense out of the game by not passing.

Did The Ohio State drop out of the AP Rankings after loosing to VT?
I don't know or remember but I'll bet the media darlings did not.
If UT drops this one to VT kiss the top 25 goodbye for several more games.
This game is a Butch program maker, just win baby.

I hate to break your bubble, but this game is barely a blip on the national radar. No one outside of Tennessee and Blacksburg cares. I am in central NC, and have not heard one mention of it on TV or in the local papers. To most it is a non event.

If I recall correctly, Meyer was still trying to figure out who is QB should be those first 2 games between Barrett and Cardale. He settled on Barrett after the Va Tech game and the rest is history. What have we not settled? If we lose to Va Tech, what is there to fix with personnel? We are what we are, and if we lose Sat we're in big trouble

It's the only game worth a crap this weekend and it's in ABC's prime time slot. Oh, it also is anticipated to be the highest attended football in the history of the sport, but you're right, no one cares. Right? Keep telling yourself that.

Barrett played the whole game. It was already settled. Barrett was the man until he went out with injury late in the season. Then jones came in and won the championship. The next year was the year of the controversy.

I'm in Pennsylvania and the ads are frequent.

180... not a 360.

No he's right. They will be 180 in the first half and build a 17 point lead, then go 180 more to 360 to finish the second half. Here's hoping we hold on and win in OT after the furious VT comeback! :loco:

I'm HOPING the egg we laid last week was due to our staff and team overlooking App State and focused on VT, hoping that was why. I do agree, we need a very strong showing Saturday night. This very well could play into our hands as the VT team may be licking their chops and get on the field and find out the team that kicked Northwestern all over the field and in every phase of the game is the one that shows up.
