Didn’t start, shared backup carries with EG. I heard some chatter tonight that he hasn’t been taking many reps in practice.

Anyone know anything?

What about the fair catch fiasco. Did I understand that rule is that you can call a fair catch but if it bounces you have to let it go in the end zone?

Yea that’s a common rule, not really sure if he didn’t know that or had a brain fart but to answer the guy above there’s nothing wrong with our run game, besides it just doesn’t work. Our strength is at the WR spot on offense...so we utilize it

Probably a combo of being banged up and the 4th quarter fumble last week against UK, then Jordan does the exact same thing tonight. We've got to get a reliable RB that can take over games late and hold on to the ball. We got lucky our D bailed us out both times.

Agree. We need a big time running back, we just don’t have one on our roster right now.

Agree 100% I think it was the fumble against Uk. Seems when our RB’s fumble the ball the get to ride the pine for a spell!!!

Agree 100% and don't understand why we are having issues getting one. Evan damn Vandy has a really great RB and size to go with it. I miss the 90's, when we had physical, bruising RB's all over our roster.

That 4th qtr fumble last game was jg fault, announcers even noticed it.

Definitely, CJP and CJC don't play around when it comes to fumbling the ball. Neither Pruitt nor Chaney has any problem making examples of players who turn the ball over.

There is no one in our existing stable of RBs that can or will do that. Hodge better be special.

Oh I agree. I think Gray could be our HR threat but none of our RB's are going to wear Defense's down or run over opposing teams players. I hope Hodge is that guy. Really had hopes that Banks would be but now I'm hoping Hodge is that player.

I think that was on Chandler. Like Pruitt said, it made it to his stomach then he fumbled it. Probably 20% JG and 80% Chandler.
If it made it to his stomach, that must have been painful. Sorry, I just have a little problem with people using belly and stomach interchangeably.

Saw some of the Oregon vs. Zona State game. Both seemed to have RBs similar to ours in size. BUT when they hit a hole they were almost gone home nearly each time. Only gang tackling or last-minute leg or wrapping tackles prevent a TD a minute. They didn't hesitate, dance, or anything, They just blasted through. Even when stopped at the LOS, they had to be wrestled down in part because they hit the hole with velocity and violence both. Maybe our RBs aren't doing it right. Or is it our OL?

I think it's more they don't play defense in the Pac12

No one knew the rule because it's a new rule. Even Pruitt had to clarify with the refs.

Run blocking hasn't been great this year outside a couple games.... but even still it's clear to see Chandler has taken a step back. Not sure what's up with him.

I just don't understand!! Hell anyone should be able to run behind that OLINE; especially Trey Smith Road Grading like he did. This Scheme ain't working; and It's hard to figure out.

OL is a unit. We are not playing well as a unit on the run. This is causing problems for our RBs. We are relying to much on the passing. The OL plays better when Wright is in.
Not sure Wright will be healthy by next weekend.
