Gold Medal Minute: Christine Magnuson

Thought a few of you out there might enjoy this video I stumbled across today. Lot of good shout outs to Tennessee. Both of these individuals have accomplished amazing athletic feats at the international level while students at UT. Melvin Stewart is a former gold medalist and olympic record holder while Christine Magnuson brought home two silvers this past summer in Beijing. She's the current NCAA champion in the 100 fly.

In a down sports year for UT, Christine Magnuson was one of the few bright spots.

Thanks a lot for posting that. Between Stewart and Matt Vogel we've had some amazing butterfly swimmers. I remember seeing replays of how Vogel swam half the 100 butterfly underwater.

I expect more Olympic swimmers in the future with the new aquatic center.
