So can we stop talking about how good the Vols offense looked last week. I don't walk to be negative but I don't want to act like it was a stellar performance either.

Probably shouldn't have started a thread about it if you want to stop talking g about it.

I just don't get it.

You can't just say this without the factors in play. Ole Miss is at home. USC was in a war last week and it's showing. USC had a bye to get ready for us. Shall I go on?

We were playing on the road in a tough environment. Plus, I don't think that Ole Miss has a problem with depth like we do. I was upset that we lost, but we still have a lot of issues that we are still working on.

None of that matters. Football math doesn’t work “team a beat team b by more than us so we suck”. That’s why they play the games, it’s all about who shows up and makes the right plays. Ole Miss also lost to Auburn who we beat.

Agreed. I highly doubt they have only 3 Seniors playing and a boatload of Freshman playing.

Offense isn’t the problem at Ole Miss.

Ole Miss starting OL
Jr - 6’6” 332
Sr - 6’3” 318
RS Sr - 6’5” 294
RS Fr - 6’5” 300
RS Jr - 6’6” 297

Average size: 6’5 308

TN starting OL (Tatum, J. Johnson, R. Johnson, Neihaus, Richmond)
RS So - 6’6” 293
RS So - 6’5” 290
RS So - 6’6” 275
RS So - 6’6” 295
RS Jr - 6’5” 301

Average size: 6’5.5” 291

Difference is, on average, 17 lbs per lineman. The other importance is age. TN has one upperclassman (RS Jr) starting and Ole Miss has 4 upperclassmen starting (2 Juniors, one Sr and one RS Sr) on the OL.

I didn’t realize we were so light on the O Line. No wonder we can’t run block.
