OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

Man, I’ve missed hanging with the dugout crew, especially this time of year and all of the great college baseball being played!
The oldest boy’s baseball tournament ate up Friday night and the first part of my Saturday.
My middle daughter and her two foster girls spent the night with us and that’s always an “adventure!”
I’ve been checking in and LMAO at you goons and I’m with you in spirit!

BTW, it’s been so busy lately, I forgot to tell you guys that it’s official…
I’ll be a granddad in December!! 😎
That is great! Congrats. You're gonna love it.

The first encounters with West Virginia that I recall was 1994 I believe. Tennessee hosted a series and I think it was surprisingly close. That 1994 UT team was likely the best UT team ever until CTV arrived.
Then in 1996 in the Clemson regional, WVU upset Tennessee, putting the Vols in losers bracket. They came back to beat WVU in loser's bracket final but beating Clemson twice was not going to happen.

Not sure why this a story in my head right now.

My Dad lived and worked there for 40 years. He swears that there has never been a beautiful woman born in the state of WestVirginia. If you see one they definitely moved in from somewhere else. He thinks they are more backward than the gumps. I personally like West Virginia. I mean they did produce Jesco White and the wonderful Whites of West Virginia. Great entertainment
