X is saying he was killed in a car accident this afternoon
AI says.

There is no credible evidence from any major news outlet or reliable source that Wes Rucker, the journalist and sports reporter, died in a car accident. Claims you might have seen on random blogs or social media — like obituary-style pages — are unverified and almost certainly false. A trending post on a sketchy site asserting a “Wes Rucker car accident death” does not come from any established news source and should be treated as misinformation.

Here’s what is verifiable:
  • Wes Rucker is a real sports journalist known for covering Tennessee athletics and has recently been active online and in media.
  • There is no reporting from reputable news outlets about his death. Searches of current news sources and reliable information databases show nothing confirming an accident or fatality involving him.
If you saw a specific post or link claiming he died, send it, and I’ll break down whether it’s legitimate.

Seems to be blowing up online now. Incredibly sad if true.

Saw that, lots of posts suggest it. Terrible if true. I follow Wes and just a few days ago he posted about how much he loves his wife and family. Posts a lot about his son and dog. There was a bad accident on 40 and traffic was crazy for several hours.

Nah, just been busy.
Work is picking up, the boys are back at it with baseball, had some nice weather to get some things done around the house.
I’ve actually been working out some since my back is getting better.
I’m always lurking though
That’s great news about your back.

So something has to happen with the Knoxville interstate system.
30 years ago it was feasible to have truck scales but it is no longer safe.
The Lovell rd and Campbell Station exits are horrible and don’t even get me started on the split and our outdated 2 lane interstate connecting Knoxville to Chattanooga and Nashville!
Driving from downtown Knoxville to Niota every afternoon is like a damn NASCAR race!
Traffic will go from 70 mph to a dead stop, numerous times from downtown to the split and then after the split, one lane is running 90 mph while the other is at 60.
It’s horrible!

That is usually the time I’m coming home on 40W, but today I had to run an errand for my kids’ scout troop
