So there's no chance we finally kick Vandy to the curb for others to come in?Looking like North Carolina will be coming to the SEC. According to multiple reports, there is a “handshake deal” in place. The current buyout for ACC teams is $165M but drops $18M per year over the next few years so it would be a more manageable $75M by the time 2030-31 rolls around. North Carolina is said to be the SEC’s number 1 priority from the ACC with either FSU or Clemson number 2 interchangeably. I think Clemson makes more sense at this time but if they decide to push it to four teams they will take both of them and one more of either Duke, Virginia Tech, NC State, Virginia, Georgia Tech, or Miami.
The only way Vanderbilt is leaving is if they decide to leave or they breach conference rules and agreements. Right now, we’re actually at risk of expulsion if we don’t comply with SEC policy. The state of Tennessee has different rules on NIL and roster limits that could potentially give us a competitive advantage and if we choose to use the state laws over the SEC rules then they could vote both Tennessee and Vanderbilt out.So there's no chance we finally kick Vandy to the curb for others to come in?

I would love to have the Duke-UNC rivalry in the SEC and is my personal preference for basketball reasons. But I just don’t think the SEC values Duke as much as the other ACC schools. Clemson and FSU have won titles in football during the SEC’s run of dominance so I think that’s what they have their eye on.Prefer.
UNC
Georgia Tech
Virginia Tech
Duke
Duke and UNC makes basketball more dominant and for individuals that contradict, last season was the FIRST time since 2012 a SEC team had won the National Championship...
Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech makes too much sense not to be added. The Georgia -Tech rivalry and Tennessee vs Virginia Tech border war would be better than the Kentucky one.
I've always remembered the battles UT vs Virginia Tech had back in the 1990s.I would love to have the Duke-UNC rivalry in the SEC and is my personal preference for basketball reasons. UNC > Clemson. We already have one South Carolina team too many. And Clemson is just gross. We already have Florida, too.Looking like North Carolina will be coming to the SEC.
