George's hamburgers in downtown Chattanooga
-Very few people remember these unbelivable burgers that were actually dropped into a vat of hot oil. Good one.

Kay's Kastle
-The huge three scoop cone atop the building. My folks must've hated those cones, every time I saw one in the car, I went off asking to stop...

Actually "driving" across the Walnut Street bridge
-Rollercoasters were actually based on the narrow, death defying ride that passing a car going the other way on this bridge represented...

More Chattanooga old school...

Going to the telethon at Memorial Auditorium and staying up all night.

Cruising Brainerd Road in high school. You went from The Sports Page to [can't remember the other bar]...and back again and again. Gas....85 a gallon..

Doing downtown on Friday night. Start at David's Restaurant for beer and wings... then to the BR where the party gets started... then to Yesterdays for live music and shooters..

Getting to read a morning AND afternoon paper.

Bud's Ridgedale

Scrappy's

The Tiki hut

Stop n' Go convenience stores

The Rebel drive in

little drive thru Golden Gallon stores

Live Wrestling at WDEF studios on Saturdays

The Bob Brandy Show

Fried Chicken at Fehn's

City High v. Baylor football games

Murray Arnold

Funny. My grandparents still live in Chattanooga and I remember a lot of the above stuff from visiting them when I was a little kid. Central Park burgers, Kay's Kastle, Rock City, Pizza Hut and video games at Northgate Mall, and even the old Lookouts stadium. . . .such memories.
