Old School - When Crompton committed

Anyone else notice him NEVER LOOKING OFF A RECEIVER? He even forced the ball in to the FB/TE in the one highlight. Looking off receivers is something that isn't always learned like it needs to be.

I don't expect much from him this season, unfortunately.

So... except for that last bit, you agree with the Andy Kelly comparison then?

I don't want JC to have to win us games, I want us to be up by 10+ points in the 4th quarter.

It is very difficult for us to know how much of last year's troubles should be placed on the QB, the OL, or the offensive scheme. My guess is 20% on QB, and 15% on OL, and 65% on the overall offensive scheme.

I actually think Nick Stephens can be a decent QB for us.. I'm kinda hoping he gets to play most of the games

I agree 100%. I think he looks like he has the best grasp of offensive football, but seemed a bit overwhelmed with the play calls last season. The terrible OL didn't help things either. I definitely think he's a better option than Crompton, and though I don't think Lamaison will do much...I wouldn't be surprised if he's #2 on the depth chart by the Bama game.

i really don't see it. stephens could have thrown as many or maybe more interceptions as crompton did last year. on several occasions, the defenders just flat out dropped the gift baskets he threw to them. stephens is also a huge reason we lost to wyoming last year. he's mediocre at best

You all are a bunch of A$$ Holes. get off the kids back. all you can ask of someone is there best. if your best is not that good dont put em down for that. it seems like you all need to take a step back and realize your talking about a kid with very good potential. so quite putting him down because he did not play FOOTBALL like you so called arm chair quarterbacks think he should have. if you could do better get your A$$ out on the field and go walk on. GOOD LUCK!!!

gotta be tough for family members to read message boards

Sorry Ms. Crompton... It will never happen again!

I think the biggest reason we lost to Wyoming last year was b/c it was the same week Fulmer got fired. I realize we can sit here and say that whenever you have athletes as good as ours and as bad as Wyoming's you shouldn't need much of a gameplan, but I don't really agree with that. I think we lost to Wyoming b/c we didn't prepare for them AT ALL.

This. 1,000,000,000x this. I have to assume hundreds of VNers failed to watch the Georgia game, cause he gift-wrapped at least 2 passes. I remember the one that the UGA player just blew completely, and Gerald Jones made a hell of a catch because he blew the INT.
