I agree with VolTom1 here. Pendleton has been stuggling. I have thought about moving Moore to center myself. Put Pendleton and Perry at guard. Let Sanders and Williams play tackle and use Haslam and Sham for relief. Just throwing things out, heck they played musical moves all year might as put them were they are the best. GBO

There are no games left on the schedule that Sham should play in -absent a 4 touchdown lead.

Not sure if Moe is out. I was thinking why not start this from left to right. Sanders LT, Pendleton LG, Moore C, Perry RG, Osenda or Williams RT. My thinking is keep Sam Pendleton in there to make sure Moore is doing the right things, then Haslem can come in at times.

IF they believe someone can do better than what they have been putting out there, then a change will be made. Based on reading between the lines, they don't see Moore as an improvement over Umarov being at LG and Pendleton being at center. I watch Haslam a lot this morning and his run blocking is supposed to be what he is best at. Like everyone, he struggled with blocking the Texas DL on runs and on Pass Protection, he was beat several times. Which is where he has not excelled in the past. Haslam will likely play this week at RG with Umarov at LG. Williams is not ready to help so Perry will remain at T. All that to say, unless someone shows the staff they are more ready to help than they have seen to date.

Sanders and Perry both need to step up this week with improvements over their performance Saturday. and trust me, I understand Texas defense is maybe the best in the country.

If we can't rush for 150+ yards Saturday, this game will end up being another very close game IMO. They have to run successfully to help Brandon in the passing game. Keeps Auburn off balance.

They are not going to "try" different lineups just to show "us" fans what they have behind the starters.

Last game the o-line struggled with knowing who to block, proper technique, and executing (when they had good technique and knew who to block). I’d say they probably rank in the bottom half of the SEC. We’ll know more after this week. If Moe is out, it’s going to be a problem. I hope the Vols win big, but they really need o-line improvement to beat the better teams remaining in the schedule.

I do not know if this is correct, but it seemed to me FB did not drop back very far. After the game l was eating next to some very nice TX fans. Interesting what they told me, and I did not insult them by asking them who told them. They were a group of professional men that flew to the game, and talked about TN was better than they showed, very respectful. Honestly, told me if had another qtr thought TN would beat them.

But, that Muschamp had picked up that FB did not drop back very far and they planned to put a serious rush on him. And, that if they did that from the start they felt like the “the freshman, as good as he is would get shook.“
They also knew Muschamp well enough he told his team they were not going to let a freshman beat them.”
Anyone else notice that he did not drop back very far.

Sounds like shuffling the chairs on the deck of the Titanic. How about replacing ALL of them with the scout team? They cannot do any worse.

Put Moore @ LG and Haslam @ RG and get Williams more spot snaps for Perry and get him ready! Problem solved. Williams is a bit slow right now and gets beat on wide outside pass rushers. HASLAM has to start @ RG, he mauls people. I don't know why he doesn't start over Sham as everytime you see Sham, he always UPRIGHT and looking back at the QB or helping the QB up off the ground, (which is not good) !!

As I mentioned in another thread, I think we should consider moving Perry back to guard and start either Osenda or Blair. I just don't see either Haslam or Williams being the solution.
Perry IS your RG now. Williams will be the RT.

For all those who thought the OL play has been bad, it's boutta snowball downhill very fast.
