Oklahoma's Eric Striker was a 3-star LB from Seffner, Florida. The only SEC team that offered him a scholarship was Tennessee. Well isn't this total Vol luck.

OU is good enough to be in the SEC mix. What SEC fans don't seem to get is how we are percieved by everyone outside. Oregon, OSU, etc etc could mix it up in the SEC, but don't get to be part of the "best conference" label. SEC fans often tag team on the successes of rivals, so they can stick out there chest and say they are "part of the best". Everyone else has to listen to the chatter year after year and get sick of it.

Dude is just responding to what's obvious outside the SEC world.
Nothing really to see here. But, if this somehow gets our players to play better, then so be it.

That was pretty harmless. He was speaking of SEC in general. If the reporters weren't such homers they should have ask him if that were really true, why are they the favorite Sat nite?

But it is true, the SEC is perceived the best because it is the best.

For your sake hope we don't win. Our fans are known for sarcastically chanting SEC after beating SEC teams to make everyone back home and in the big 12 laugh.

In fairness, the SEC did win 9 BCS Championships, 50% more than the rest of the conferences combined. There are currently TEN SEC teams ranked in the top-25. You could spend all day discussing stats, but anyone with any sense knows that SEC is King.

He played his best game of the year against us. For the most part we didn't block him last year. I'm sure that won't happen again.

That being the case maybe the crowd should consider changing the victory chant to "the Big 12 sucks". And what's up with the Big 12 only having 10 schools represented?

That statement's as irrelevant as are Vandy and UK. I hope we're leading by gobs and UT's cheerleaders hold up signs that read "SEC...SEC...SEC." Everybody going wild! Stoops goes out of his way to dis the perennially greatest football conference, and I'd love to see a national audience giggle as little Bobby tosses his clipboard and visor ala the ole' balls coach. He'll be eating fresh crow pie smothered in orange creamsickle sauce.:birgits_giggle:
