Guys and girls, I am officially apologizing for any negative sentiment that I have expressed on this board after the UGA loss. After a lot of thought I have come to the conclusion that I'd rather be a fan of a losing Tennessee team than ANY other team with an undefeated record.
So I'm making it public. I believe my Vols will come back and earn our respect BUT if they don't, I am still 100% Volunteer!

Anybody with me??

:cheer:

Couldn't have said it any better! After this emotional roller coaster ride of a season in the end still 100% volunteer. Hopefully this bye week will help us do the next best thing to winning a championship and thats opening a can on Alabama.

i agree. We all support our players on the field and love them when they win. we should do the same when they lose. However, your tax dollars are paying the salary of these coaches. I say demand the firing or reassignment when the results on not favorable. In fact Sanders is getting paid more than top state employees.

I'm still all Vol, but I'm going to need a couple of extra days.

What's really gonna be sweet is when we go undefeated the rest of our season and all the sports pundits will have egg on their faces for counting us out.

It ain't over till the fat lady sings and I haven't even started whistling yet!!!

GO VOLS!!!

:disappointed: I love the Vols, not so much dissapointed with the record as I am that the term adjustments seems not to be in the Volunteers camp this season. Die hard Vols fan here, in the ICU ward :ill_h4h:

I know we have the athletes to compete in every game left on the schedule. It would almost be worth the UGA and UF losses if we could give Bama its only 'L' of the year. GO VOLS!

I'll always be "All Vol," but this one has left me with a good bit of resentment. Before the game, the general sentiment was that if we could come out and really click on offense, it would make up for the poor showing thus far in the season. Instead, we laid a BIG, FAT egg (don't count the last second TD in junk time, and, no, a 1/4 yard QB sneak does not count, either).

Remember, we had a preseason #3, a RB Heistman-hopeful, and one of the top receiving corps in the country. That's not the team that should scrape by a mediocre UAB defense, get shut down by an overrated UF defense, get shut out for a half by a poor LSU secondary, stumble through a POOR Ole Miss team, and then come back with a "redeeming" performance like we saw on Saturday.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it's time to hold some folks accountable, and I think we are beginning to accept where that starts.

I am one of the biggest Vol fans you will find. It is for that reason that I am so upset. I support the guys on the field. They are going to screw up now and then and you really have to step back and look at the big picture and realize we are talking about young men some of which aren't even twenty years old. They have a lot of pressure on them. However, the coaching staff is another story. It is their job to prepare these young men for the role that they are playing. With as much talent as these men have collectively, there is something wrong with our 3-2 record. I blame the coaches.

I will always be a VOL and am proud of everyone that has worn the jersey, past and present. But, those young men and that tradition deserve the best coaching our millions can buy. So far, the staff has not held up its part of the bargain. Change is inevitable and is often the catalyst for greatness.

GO VOLS! BEAT BAMA!

vol fan since 1955 up or down its the program that counts, 2 losses is nothing in the big piture our vols will play hard. I hope our coaches have a good game plan, but I see changes in our offensive thinking are needed, I saw the same kind of thinking over the years and coaching changes came about if the problems weren't solved.

Does anyone honestly think Fulmer and Co. ( with the exception of Chavis) doesn't feel the heat today? I bet their cell phone voice mails, their e-mail inboxes and their answering machines are JAMMED. They HAVE to know fans are HOT for blood. THEIR blood!

Deep down I think a lot a fans saw this coming privately before the season began. Rated #3...a rb they spoke of as a heisman hopeful, wr's galore...Ainge....great d fense...(and that brutal schedule). I think a lotta fans down deep worried about wether the players would execute and run that table, and now...where the season is....its like a nightmare come true. I think thats why a lotta fans are down because they saw it comin...then blew it off sayin look at all our weapons, then when worst case became fact...a nightmare realized. But tommorrows another day...and theyll be more games, more victories...im tryin to shake it off

I am not giving up, I already have my plane and game tickets for the Bama game. I expect a win, but even with a loss, I will still support the VOLS through thick and thin.
