Fair enough, but if our perceived improvement is in reality just inferior competition, then what does that say about the coaching staff's ability to actually improve upon the talent they are recruiting?
Good question, and perhaps the change in competition masks what coaches should see and adjust for during the off season just as much as fans see a team "getting over the hump", but there's a very good reason for the historical November success. On the other hand, it is fun to watch teams that have been hanging around the top of the rankings struggle when their seasons finally get underway, but it sure would be a good start to flip FL with KY or Vandy and get at least a little balance in the schedule.
