There is no point in crying and say we won't win because Florida and Georgia looked amazing yesterday.

Florida tends to own us because we NEVER have confidence as a fanbase and team against them. Our constant losses to them are actually inexplicable and embarrassing.

Georgia looks great but I think Oregon was setup with an ambush having to travel across the country into a high profile game with a new coach, players etc.

We are never going to get over losing if we don't have confidence and swagger.

Heupel feels different.

As long as we play these games, we have a shot to win. Sure, we need to be realistic in expectations but come on, I think we will beat Florida this year in Knoxville. I think we give Georgia problems. I know we don't have the talent yet that we want but we have talent and we have good players and coaches. Let's just sit back and try to have some fun and cheer on our team.

Let the schedule and record worry about itself.

The lizard men may have a mental advantage over Vols fans, I doubt that's so for the team. They run out expecting to win and have said as much. I have the same attitude, nail-biting, defeatist whimper things got no place being anywhere near our Vols. Our men ain't scared of no dayum Gorns.

So, the negative feedback is based on how the other teams played Saturday? šŸ¤”

UT just about played everyone on the team Thursday. The defense stayed in their basic formation throughout the game. I realize 59 points was a little low, but it was the first game šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

Not sure how anyone can base anything off one game.

Florida doesn't own us in part because I as a fan "never have confidence" of Tenn beating them. Get over yourself.

How exactly did Florida look that great?

They gave up 25 first downs at 61.5%
They gave up 230 rushing at 5.9 per

Utah drove down the field at will on multiple occasions late and Utah simply made mistakes.

Not saying Florida isn’t good, but it certainly wasn’t like they were dominant…..it was game one, they needed and got miracles to win.

I think the negative vibes are from people who had unrealistic expectations. They didn't think Georgia was still a powerhouse, and they clearly are. They thought Florida had zero talent, but they do.

I mean, with this offense, we have a punchers chance against anyone, but there are more than a few teams on our schedule that have at least as much, if not more, talent than us.

Heupel took over a mess and over performed (considering how many players left and how talented several of them were ) last year.

We could go 10-2, it's possible, just not probable. And that's OK given where this program was 18 months ago. 8-4 much more likely, but we are heading in the right direction. I believe Heupel is the guy, we just need to give the man time to bring in some players, especially on defense.

Don't you know it's our fault? Dooley, Butch and Pruitt were actually amazing hires. They just didn't have enough fan magical mojo behind them
I've definitely been getting tired of being blamed for the embarrassment of leadership at the university the last several years. Remember when everyone thought we crossed some dumb line when we weren't happy with Shiano?

And Utah got robbed of a touchdown twice.

And Utah got robbed of a touchdown twice.

Yea that was part of the miracles.

However if their coach had just kicked the field goal, the one time…….Florida would have lost.

I mean seriously the last drive they wouldn’t have been messing around so much. When they got that close……they would have simply ran the clock down and kicked another field goal and won the game.

But again another part of those ā€œmiraclesā€ Florida needed and got.

It's one thing to be real and say another team is better, and we'll probably lose. It's a completely different thing for a couple of certain people to run around every single thread slobbering over how great Georgia and Florida is, and there's no way we'll ever win again. Constantly bashing our coach and players, while crowning Napier as the next Saban after one win. Not to mention, same ones said the same thing about muschamp, shark humper, and Mullen, and where are they? The real kicker, is those people get big mad if you say anything negative about Georgia, Florida, their coaches, or players, yet they're "Tennessee fans". I guaranteed one last night, even screenshot it, that they'd defend Florida if we beat them. Be real, heck, be negative, we all know we have issues with Florida especially, but don't constantly badh our program, and defend our rivals, then get mad if you start getting called on it. Better get off my soapbox now, but it's mind boggling.

Getting real close to that ignore button for the first time...

You do realize every year the majority of our fans pick us to win vs Florida and Georgia right? It’s not a confidence issue, and it’s certainly not an issue with the players.
Majority? Only the most insane picked us to beat Georgia last year. Keep spewing the nonsense though with the other trolls.
