Grant announces he is staying tomorrow. Hire a huge name assistant like Alford or Kennedy. Bone comes back in about a month. Then get Johnson, Kessler and Springer to commit for '20. That would create some decent momentum heading into next season.

I'd love for Steve Alford to be an assistant coach at UT...He could learn at lot under Rick Barnes and maybe be the coach in waiting when Rick retires.

Grants gone. He’s a consistent round one pick.

No he is not. He is on a few draft boards in first round. He does not even appear on some boards. There is nothing consistent about his draft status
There’s only one were I have seen that he isn’t in the 1st round. Now Bone on the other hand, I haven’t seen him on any yet.

He is on like 90% of the mocks. The others have him staying.

He is on just about every draft board in the 1st round. What are you reading?

Also there isn't much that GW can do with another season to raise his draft stock. The knock on him is his size and he aint growing any more.

My bad. It had been a month or so since I looked at draft boards. Today NBA Draft has him at 33, but several others have him at 16-27.

Yeah, I seems like Bone is a reach. Grant could improve draft stock if he improved his ball handling and three point shot.

That's why I say if he gets a 1st round eval, he's got to go. It gets some hefty guaranteed money for sure. Best case, he develops a niche skillset that makes him a role player on a team for a few years, and he's smart with managing his money. He can then go back, get his masters, and get a good paying job with all those $$$ in the bank or investment accounts.
