My mom (my rock) had stage 1 ovarian cancer last year. She started chemo last February and by June she was done with treatment. She did relatively well during the entire process. She is a woman of amazing strength figuratively but she is less than 5 feet tall, and weighs less than a 100 lbs. So chemo was hard on her little bitty body.

She went for a CT scan last week because her CA125 went up. She sees her oncologist on Tuesday to get the results. I can't bear the thought she may have to fight this again. If she does, she'll do it with grace and courage, just like she did last time.

I am begging you to pray, even if you aren't a praying person. I know people say, "I don't believe in God, but I'll send good thoughts." If you're reading this post, please PLEASE just say in your mind "God please be with her." That is all I am asking. God hears all prayers. ALL prayers.

I thank you as sincere as I can. This woman got me through more in my life with my ex-husband than I can ever tell you. She was my ROCK! She was my STRENGTH! And she is AMAZING!!!

I hope she doesn't have a recurrence. All the ovarian cancer patients I have heard about seem to have a high cure rate.

Prayers will continue Volly. Sounds like your Mother is one amazing lady... and it seems her fruit didn't fall too far from the tree.

VollyGirl,
I do pray and believe that it can do great things. I will pray for her healing. Regardless may you and your mother find comfort in this truth from John.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all.
