Right now, I am not worried about the BCS rankings because the Gators control their own destiny. Win from here and win the SECCG, and Florida has a BCS birth.
But you know who is in the theoretical catbird seat?
The Univeristy of Tennessee.
Picture this: At season's end, three SEC teams are 11-1:
UF, Auburn, and UT.
UF and Auburn have to play each other in the title game, with the winner going to the BCS for sure. And there's UT, not having to play in the death match, waiting to leap-frog the unfortunate loser of the title game in the BCS standings. UT, ironically, might be sitting there essentially guaranteed an at-large spot in the BCS come the SECCG precisely because UT doesn't have to play in the title game.
That would piss me off.
