It seems that all is well on the Hill again. We beat a sub par ought-to-be-division 2-school ...and give up almost 30 points in the process....and it looks like Fulmer is king again. I say wait till December and the truth shall be told. After watching Arkansas and Kentucky....I honestly in my heart dont see us beating them.

Exactly. I don't want to come on here and give the old "Fire Fulmer speech" after every loss (or win). One game doesn't mean much, it's the season, it's several seasons. I feel like he's had his several seasons to make change and this year should be the product of his "changes"...

Your right it is about the season as a whole. I see us with a chance to win every game left after watching the other teams yesterday. I don't mean we will win every game, but we will be in every game because of our offense. Georgia and Bama have very little on offense which will keep us in the games if we don't turn the ball over. Arkansas is one dimensional, although it is a great running game. Their defense isn't any better than ours. Kentucky is still Kentucky, they have a great quarterback but no defense. Should make for an exciting and stressful rest of the season.

i did not forget, we beat a sunbelt. we can't beat SEC. if there is one game i think we can win out of ga, bama, sc, ky for some reason i think it's ga. still we will lose at least 3-5 more games this year. watch

thats just the way it is, me along with thousands of vol fans are gonna hate fulmer and say he should be fired after a loss and we're gonna love him when we win, thats just how it works

Theres no love here...not one drop. I have said before, he has cost our players games, titles, championships. I am not a pessimist......but rather a realist. I also wont go into a long "hate Fulmer" speech....but I truly believe he has damaged this program to depths much greater than any success he has brought. I cant wait till December....hopefully this will be a good Christmas.

So you hope we win our bowl game? You make it sound like we won't make a bowl game.

How CAN we forget? You guys remind us every day how much we suck.

It would be nice to enjoy a win for a change. Otherwise, what's the point?

UGA and Bama aren't really that good of teams. That was a good game but both have subpar QB's. JPW only looks good because of his WR's. Matt Stafford forces almost every throw into double and triple coverages. Both have awesome running games. If they win it is because of coaching and not getting outplayed. SC is a toss up.KY should be a win because Louisville isn't doing that great this year and Arky, like I've been saying for 8 months is overrated. Until they beat someone who is better than those two teams I think we win that game. 4-0 is still good for KY though.

I hope you don't mean that you want us to lose 3-4 more so he will go, but if we do lose 3-4 more I don't see him around next year.

I do not ever WANT us to lose. But I know in my heart that losing 3-4 more games IS THE ONLY WAY TO SAVE OUR FUTURE. Whats more important...this season which is already shot....or the next 20-30 years of Vol football? I will never root for us to lose.....but being a realist I know it will take losing now to save us later.

CPF wont coach 20-30 more years... i think he will do the right thing and just resign at the end of the season... we just need to make him our recruiter and pay him the same

I know he wont be here for 20-30 years....thats not what I meant. I mean that if he stays we will continue to lose....our recruiting will be miserable....and then when he does retire he will give the job to a "good ole boy". I want a complete and thorough housecleaning.

I agree. It's simple addition through subtraction. If we lose badly this season, we may have a shot at getting rid of Fulmer and start fresh. If we have a mediocre to "good" season, he'll stick around and inevitably force our program down hill and maybe even to the point of running it in to the ground (as far as recruiting is concerned) and it may take years to get our name back...
