Martinez also was stopped at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio, the home of Class of 2026 cornerback Elbert Hill. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Hill picked up an offer from Tennessee in October and now holds offers from nearly 20 schools.

2026 CB Elbert Hill is one of the top corners in the country, and he made his way to campus earlier this year for a camp setting. He was impressed at the time by the staff, and he tells us this week he is planning to return to Knoxville for the Kentucky game. Multiple top programs including Ohio State and Oregon are heavily involved here early on.

He came out of the trip saying it was the most electric atmosphere he had experienced. He also noted he plans to take an official visit to Knoxville.
