I remember playing Turok 2 on the N64 back in the day. Had some good multiplayer fun with it- the raptor character was a blast to use.

This game HAS to have online.

Well I just beat Turok & this is what I thought...

Gameplay - Decent. There's a little bit of collision detection between the dinosaurs when you're trying to get them to do something which can be a hassle. For the most part it's quite smooth. I never had any frame rate problems.

The worst part is the no aim assist. Aiming can be a bitch when under attack & don't have time to line up a shot. But I got used to it, I got decent enough that I didn't notice after halfway into the game.

Graphics - It's on the Unreal engine so it looks really good. Like Gears of War but better.

Story - eh, I didn't really care for it. The flashbacks were the only thing I liked about the story. Me Turok. Me on strange planet. Me kill dinosaur. Me want off planet. The end.

The mini games is what kept it going for me.
Run up to a dino with your knife out & pull the right trigger when prompted & it goes into a bit of a cutscene where you kill the dino. Depending on what it is & your position to it the attack will be different. Sometimes a Raptor will surprise attack you & you have to do a button combo type thing to kick it off. The mini games were the best part for me.

All in all I give it a 3 1/2 out of 5 *. Rentable but not worth 60$.

I haven't tried the multiplayer yet. We'll see how it goes.

I forgot to mention it's also quite predictable. I always knew what was coming next.....walk-through aside.:)
