I thought they deserve there own thread.
It might be a MOOT point if clowney doesn't even show up or holds HIMSELF out of the game. This match up will have my attention all game. One of these two will make there stock rise or fall with a good or bad performance.

What does volnation think about this?
Who will get the better of the other?

I think Tiny will pancake clowney more than once.

Edit: for those who don't know what pancake means. It means put the other guy on there A*** or flat on there back however you want to take it.

Tiny is counting this one down.....

Clowney has been whining because he gets double teamed. Tennessee doesn't have to do that.

Let's just hope Clowney doesn't show up for the most important play like he did last year.

Love him or hate him dude is a talent. Yes he's been a diva this year doesn't negate his talent when applied. We shut him down nearly all game last year only to have him basically close out the game with one of the only 4 sacks Tiny has given up in his career.

IMHO, Tiny had a better season last year than he has so far in 2013. I believe his guy got to Worley in the GA game.

Could it be due to the changes in blocking schemes?

Agree, ppl will talk about Clowney getting that one play on Tiny last year, but in reality Clowney only got the best maybe 5-10% of the time while Tiny locked him down the other 90% . Can't wait for this one. My eyes normally drift on the whole team, but I'll be watching this closely.

Who knows, Clowney may have another rib cage pain or something and not even play. Of course, I don't blame him...Tiny will embarrass him for all the scouts to see!

Living in SC all I hear about is how amazing Clowney is. That talk has finally slowed down since he is protecting his draft stock. Which is also taking a hit i believe, but after the showing Tiny put on last year against him, I doubt Tiny has the date marked on his calender. If we ran 80 plays on offense, Tiny won the match-up 79-1. Tiny will smack him in the mouth just like he did last year, and Clowney wont be able to go anymore because of his ribs. I am good friends with Clemson's LT from the year they wont the ACC, and he knows the same thing we all do. Tiny is an NFL LT.

I think Clowney has become a victim of his own ESPN reports and is telephoning this season in waiting for the big contracts from the NFL. The only thing that would make him give everything in the USC-UT game would be pride and ego. Ego in knowing there was only two people that stood him up last year and Tiny was one of them.

If he shows for the game (if is the operative word) than I believe he and Tiny will be going at it once again. Or James. Or any of our front five for that matter. He has been countered this year as everyone had expected Clowney to be a beast. But it has become a joke at this point.

If I was Spurrier, I'd be having a heart to heart with that young man. Nobody is so good they cannot be replaced.

Oh and btw, it's "moot." :)

I actually do think he's trying to rest up for Tiny.

Possible. That and he thought KY was a gimmie that no one would be watching. Actually could have been counter productive as that would have been an easier game to assert his dominance. I do believe he's killing his draft stock and will be full motor for UT to counteract that. Dude has enough talent he could take off half the UT game and still make the espn top 10. Nobody should kid themselves. Tiny got the best of him last year but Clowney still made the play to end the game. He's not a guy to sleep on.

Somebody has gotten into Clowney's head, probably a close friend or family member, he's more worried about getting an injury than he is playing football IMO. He's forfeited the Heisman consideration, he's mailing the rest of the season in, if he plays against Tiny at all, it will be sparingly before he aggravates some sort of injury and leaves the game, he's done at South Cackalack.

Maybe that someone is Jay Z, or some other agent. Telling him to slow play this year. I'm petty sure the specifically meant during the UT game. I actually think there exact words were,"take easy during the UT game clowney. We don't want you to get your neck broke by Tiny. He's going to go ahead of you in the draft anyways!" Yea I think that was it word for word.

Yea play slow and drop that 1st pick overall. Clowney got to big off them roids if you ask me. He's out of shape and slow this year.

If he is going to go 100% this year this would be the game for him to do it. With all the talk of Tiny getting the best of him last year I think we get his best so Tiny better be on his game.

Spurrier was pissed with Clowney for his personal decision, apparently, to not play against kentucky, so the kid might be a touch fired up to show his stuff on Saturday, unless he's truly banged up.

I agree, and I'm also in Clemson, bad as it sucks.
