Anybody else getting this? Picked it up on my way home from work this morning...never been a big golf fan but wanted to give it a try.

Unless they've drastically changed things, I think I'll be skipping it like I did football this year.

I've heard it's exactly the same as last year, with slightly improved graphics. Classic EA Sports.

I heard the only real difference was the uploading your own image. So NC let me know how it is im sure my wife would lo9ve it just as much as last yrs,

Improvements this yr are as you mentioned ...the upload your game face...also it has the gamernet to share your best shots and to play against challenges from other gamers...new shot confidence that tracks and analyzes your performance on every hole.....new championship format...and more pro golfers(21 of them).

I initially picked up the game since I have a few friends that are big golfers and wanted to play with them..but after playing this morning I think it'll be pretty fun..haven't played any online matches with them yet..but its pretty good.

I broke down and bought it. We'll see how well it turns out. I never did play 07, though. I have '06 for the original XBOX.

im looking forward to buying this...oxm gave it an 8.5. im a big golfer though so id prob buy no matter how good or bad

It's decent. Like I said, no actual improvements to the gameplay. It's the exact same thing that's been out for a couple years. If you want to upload your own face or whatever, that's cool, but you could save yourself some cash by picking up 06 or 07.

sadly i dont even have live so the face wouldnt even do me any good. so i may just do that thanks.

Has anyone else noticed though that the ideal putting line was in '07 when doing the online tour? But for some odd reason not in career mode....

I thought 07 has it maybe that ideal putt camera what do you usually shoot on 07. I think my low round was 17 under at St andrews not great compared to guys going 24 under.

I don't like that you can't look at the putt camera more than once. Sucks for us that can't putt worth a darn. Also, I'd like to be able to switch the hit stick from the left thumbstick to the right one. I'm not a lefty and always shank it left...

There's an achievement for creating and winning a 4-player match.. I don't know how many is the max.
