Losses to Georgia and Mizzou, but wins against Memphis and Washington? Color me intrigued. I can't see us beating Memphis and then losing to Mizzou lol.

Road games. Also the statistical rankings are very low on Memphis.
Kenpom - 50
TR - 34
BPI - 134 o_O
Yale - 53
TRank - 39

Oh I see matchup zone got around to updating their rankings. I'll plug them into the model and rerun the #s..

They have Tennessee ranked 49th btw. (Had us ranked 3rd in his preseason rankings last year.)

Their rankings are a bit wacky, but it didn't change Tennessee's record. Only change to SEC standings was bumping Auburn down to a T5th leaving just us tied with LSU for 4th.

Oh I understand why they were marked as losses. It just doesn't make sense when you think about it logically rather than through the lens of a computer. Mizzou is predicted to be one of the worst in the conference this year. I also think Memphis's rankings are skewed because they will likely do something historic and start 5 freshmen, which makes it hard for numbers to quantify. Although I'd love it if those computers were right, because Memphis being garbage this year with that recruiting class would be *chef's kiss* AMAZING!

If you were to just use the human rankings which have Memphis easily in the Top 20, it still has that game as a tossup for us and Missouri and Georgia as narrow losses.Capture.PNG
