No cable company has signed up for the SEC network other than U-Verse.

For what's it worth I'm going to sign up for Dish network or U-Verse on July 30 if Charter doesn't sign up for the SEC network by then. I get both so my options are wide open.

My cable network is Brighthouse. I actually received this in an email yesterday.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us today with your feedback. At this time, Bright House Networks does not have access to the SEC Network channel. At this time, there is no notice from the Marketing team that they are working on acquiring the channel. I have submitted a request on your behalf for the team to look into getting this channel for our customers. If we are able to acquire the channel, you will see an update in our programming on your monthly statement. You can also view the updated programming at our website though the following link: Channel Lineups

Can't get U-verse,, so I may be a Dish Customer b/f kick-off time in Tennessee...

So if I'm from Wisco, will I never be able to see games now? Or will they still be online like WatchESPN when on the SEC Network?

like i said i am not so sure charter will have it. if they don't they are idiots and deserve to go bankrupt. I have never been thrilled with charter or their customer service.

This is the defining reason to tell the cable companies screw you? As opposed to like, the total innumerable other ways they already screw over their consumers?

Dickel - just fyi I too live in central florida and I have century link prism and love it. Supposedly as of last week I was told they are close to closing an agreement with sec network. It's apparently a package kinda deal with other channels owned by the mouse house parent company. Hope this helps you out with options bro.

this will get done by most of the providers.

i think most companies understand that they would lose the entire south if they don't pick up this channel.

This will get done. Fox Sports 1 was very similar last year. It was picked up in August.

charter was pathetic when I left Tn 8 yrs ago and its still just as bad. Moving back to Tn and going with U-verse. Sure wish my town had Comcast. I have it now and love it and it will have the SEC network come Aug

the 5 major companies(Comcast,Dish,DTV,Uverse,Charter) will get it...there may be 1 that waits a week or 2 into the season, trying to play hardball in negotiations and get a better price...

I work on both sides of this issue. I have represented both the MSO's (cable providers) and content providers (programmers). This is part of the dance that goes on in terms of access fees versus programming. The majority will get it done, it will come down to the last minute as both sides play a game of chicken.

You are correct. Except no one will know because they are all required to sign a non-disclosure agreement over terms and conditions of carriage.

Would a provider like Dish come out ahead because they have already announced being on board with SEC Network?

July 4th is independence day! After that, going with which ever cable company has SEC network and is cheaper.
It's too soon right now to freakout...but come July......it's Al Wilson
