You must like Florida quite a bit because you mention them quite often as if they're last year's team or as if their defense is so much better than Cal's. Although it might be a bit better, it isn't like they're fielding last year's team. Chances are they aren't going to score 45 points and despite our struggles on 3rd and long and our hapless 3 yard outpatterns and a cloud of dust.....we still scored 31 points.

Florida is the SEC opener and the best indicator of how our SEC season will go.

I didn't discuss how many points Florida will score. I discussed how many UT will score. It won't be 31 if we don't show a little more variety.

And do a decent job with playcalling when you have first and goal inside the five and we win the game.

hahahaha.......so that ONE series that would have pulled us to within 10 if we had scored a touchdown would have won the game eh?

Keep that in mind the next time you mock someone else's opinion of the game.

Exactly. These guys don't know how to play special teams. It would be great if someone could teach them.
What? You mean our wide receiver coach jumping up and down on the sidelines like an overcaffinated 5 year old doesn't pass for good special teams coaching?

I agree completely with the variety, or lack thereof. Florida may still destroy is regardless, but I don't think their defense is good enough to keep us grounded too much even with the simpleton offense we might jog out there.

On the other hand, Meyer is probably already laughing at our defensive performance and what they'll try to do offensively.

Actually I think it is definitely possible they get close to that number.... The offense didn't really lose a lot, and we're going up against the option.

Definitely possible, but unlikely. They won't run the option every play. What will kill us is the misdirection plays and the little bubble screens to wide receivers behind the line of scrimmage that will allow them open field to out juke 5 guys. haha

All we've done is make Tebow feel that much safer against what we talked about as being his first test against a "real" defense. Oops.

Fulmer is ultimately responsible hat, but if you think getting rid of him or blaming him for everything is the answer then once we do and we are in the same boat will you call for the next HC's head??
Exactly. And since none of us are expecting a divisional champ team this year, it will have been nine years since Fulmer has delivered us a conference championship. He is ultimately responsible and he's not getting it done.

I thought Fulmer would have at least 1 more season after this, but I'm not sure now. This season may tell the tale. If last night was any indicator, we may end up 6-6 or 7-5. I don't think Hamilton takes that. On the surface, it is just a bad year. But, then add the fact that it would likely yield another poor recruiting class and we suddenly have 2 very poor classes on campus. We all know CPF has had alot of success due to superior talent. That isn't the case anymore. If he doesn't turn this year around, he may just end up make it more difficult for the next coach.

Since today's results make it readily apparent that it is a matter of if, not when, that Fulmer and his Big 10 doppleganger will be unemployed, I though I would show them respect by dedicating this thread to their respective professional demises.

But wait, they're are the 87th and 83rd most likely coaches on the hot seat. :eek:hmy: :eek:lol:

The coaching staff had the entire spring and fall to improve the DL and special teams. They are going to cost UT a lot of games. I expect more from a DL made up of 3 seniors and 1 junior.

I am pretty sure that Javhid Best would leave them in the dust wince he just recently ran a 10.3 100 meters.

We have a high school track star on our team from the previous year. Only difference is that Cal found a way to get him involved and UT didn't.

I was begging Cut to run a reverse with O'neal or some type of trick play where they utilize his speed. I was disappointed yet again.

Take away the Ainge fumble for a TD and an abysmal performance of a coverage team on the Jackson Punt return for a TD and we are tied. I know it didn't end up like that, but its still a valid point.

If I check the math, that still means we gave up 31 points to a PAC-10 team that we were so supposed to be equally fast as and more physical with.

I was just hoping to see any play where we could get our "allegedly" fast guys in open space. Kinda hard to make plays when you are catching the ball near the LOS and having to jook and jive your way for a 3 yard gain.
