Official NCAA Football '11 Thread

It was better than the other next gen ones before the patch. Now I would say it's about the same, just with different flaws.

pretty much my thoughts on it. the pass coverage was broken post patch, and it in turned ruined a big part of the gameplay.

Which game was it that all you needed to score every possession was a 99 speed RB and/or WR? That year was pretty bad.

ncaa 09. we had a guy in our dynasty that year (harry AKA govols182) that had florida. he proceeded to go 50-0 in the 4 and a half seasons he was in it.

A deep pass to Percy was a touchdown everytime. Also if you ran to the outside then spin on a kickoff return it was a easy td.

did you ever play ncaa 07 on next gen?

I've played every NCAA since it was able to be played online & before. I've dealt with all the bs through the years. The hb direct, wr direct(bad glitch), subbing wr's at qb & scrambling before it could be stopped, all the nano blitzes, the disconnect glitches, the hail maries, etc etc. This game is ok but it still has flaws. Pass defense is horrid. Rb's that can't be tackled. Bullet passes. The option.

What are you talking about?

I dare anyone to run the option on me. I tend to agree with the pass defense, it is pretty bad. I don't know how anyone could say that this is the best AA on next gen.

If you play on heisman the in and out routes work for the cp every time and it basically is a glitch. Also, the tackling a major issue it takes about 2-3 missed tackles to finally get the rb down.

When I play it's pretty much exclusively online & I think ranked games are set at AA so that's what I judge the game on. The option isn't as bad as it use to be but there's still that play every now & then when the qb is pretty much tackled but makes that miraculous pitch. Tackling some rb's is a joke at times. Weak zone defense & unreal man to man. It's an ok game & sometimes you find a good game but it's far from sim & really no better than any of the others. Every year they fix an issue or should I say "over fix" & create new ones to go with it.

Playing a CPU game currently and I know im just nitpicking here but the coaches challenge is just a useless feature. Playing defense and the CPU converts on a third down and short after a short sideline pass goes for 8 or so yards. The problem? Purdue's WR caught the ball inbounds, but then turned to go up field he clearly stepped out of bounds with his right foot which would have been no gain and fourth down. I challenge, but it only looks for if he caught it inbounds. Play stands.

You didn't play 07 and 08 if think 11 is anything like them.

Another non reader. I've had every NCAA since they have been online & years before. They have all had there flaws, some worse than others.

They are pretty random with what the challenge comes up with, that's for sure.

For those who say it is impossible to run out of shotgun, I have a running back who is going to finish with around 5,000 yards for his career. 99% of those yards came from a shotgun formation.

Holy crap, I'm in a time warp. I'm recruiting and have the ESPN radio updates play in the background. So Sparky Anderson died yesterday.

I'm pretty unstoppable on JV against the CPU as well.
