Just thought that I would start this one, it will be here before you know it. If anyone has any news about the upcoming title, please post it. The only thing that I have heard is that EA will have a new blog at Halftime during the SuperBowl. If they make up as much ground as they did with Madden 10, it should be a good game.

If they fixed the stupid online franchise and got rid of the accelerated clock online i'd be satisfied with a carbon copy on '10

I wont even start to beleive that they will fix the online franchise until they actually fix the online franchise. They gave us all that crap last year and they never followed through with it

They are probably going to have a full fledged online franchise and tout it as a new feature.

True, and EA is comfortable knowing that people will still pay for the same half assed stuff, and eat up their 'working on an update' crap.

Hopefully it's fixed, or taken out if not. I'm done with NCAA, for online play anyway. If i'm spending money on a football game it'll be madden.

I'm just ready to trade Berry to the Titans...
I started a franchise with the Bucs and in my fourth year EB is my starter. He is an 94 overall and has been beastly. The reason that I started with the Bucs is because they had live 50 mil in cap money that I had to work with:)

Freeman and Cadillac. But I have Mulckeroy at WLB and George Selvie at SLB(I changed to a 3-4 defense) both or them are overall above 92 I believe.

Another reason I didn't like Madden 10 was the draft classes. I would import them in from NCAA and the players would have completely random ratings. Like people have mentioned, sometimes Berry is terrible and other times he is sick. To control the ratings for the draft classes, they decided to just randomize them where players could not come in with incredible attributes.

This is a BIG thing that they are supposed to address with 11, but you know how that is. Honestly if they fix that, online franchise, and a couple of tweeks with awareness, I will be very happy with 11.

I thought it was because you were not good at it:)

They need to improve ability to build team...re trade and free agency in online franchise.

well also madden's player rating system though was supposed to be alot lower number valued than NCAA in 2010 - it was to make the difference between a super star and the average player more realistic

so berry being like a 96 or something on NCAA, he'd still come into Madden at best in the low 80s, more likely than not though in the 70 somethings;

but then too it was all about player potential as well that year; if he got "A" potential, he'd make it up in no time

Locomotion : Madden NFL Blog : EA SPORTS

Looks like a similar locomotion engine in NCAA and FIFA 10 will also be in Madden this year.

"Obviously, players in pads can’t run the same speed as a world class sprinter coming out of blocks but their acceleration curves have the same shape. They get up to around 80% of their top speed relatively quickly, but the last 20% is stretched out further (it takes the Olympic guys around 60 meters to hit 100% of their top speed). Once I had the curves created, I tuned them around combine 40 times and 100 meter times of players who ran track in college. I then passed that info on to Ratings Czar Donny Moore so he could set speed and acceleration accurately for our rosters. In total, we have 24 different curves that we can tune to control everything from how a player's speed increases over time (based on acceleration and speed ratings), to how much he can turn based on his current speed (driven by the agility rating). That level of control really lets us differentiate players on the field.

It is now possible for our ratings guys to make players that are quick over 10 to 20 yards, but get smoked at longer distances. A 90 speed player can now run the same 40 time as a 99 speed player, but lose over longer distances. I have a video here to highlight this. I created two players. The first is 99 speed, 90 acceleration (#99, on the top in the video). The second is 90 speed ,99 acceleration (#90 on the bottom in the video). The players race for 90 yards in the video. As you can see, the player with higher acceleration jumps out to an early lead, but gets passed at around 40 yards by the higher speed player. The animations aren't final (particularly the initial move that plays), and I still have some fine tuning to do on how we map the acceleration and speed ratings into our set of curves, but you can see how powerful acceleration is going to be in Madden NFL 11."

this game looks beautiful. hopefully it has the same great gameplay from last year and a good presentation to go along with it. that and include a fix to the "no salary" cap garbage from online franchse.

That sucked. I really wanted to do an online franchise but the fact that it had no salary cap ruined it for me.
