Yea I see that. I've debated the situation of him coming into town a bit. Would it be more weird if he cancelled his planned trip and completely avoided Butch or just act like normal so as to not raise any awareness but risk looking bad if you do take the job. Pros and cons of both ways.

Hey man, it'd be cool as **** If instead of calling it a press conference call it Grudens Groove and play a different classic rock song for each one! Back In Black should be the first one right?

Boys, I can see it now. Gruden's going to come into his 1st press conference like Ric Flair use to do it. CJG is going to have the 2001 Space Odessy song blasting, wearing a flowing orange and white robe, and his hair is going to look like the Nature Boy's did when he was headed to Starrcade. Some are concerned about Grudens respect for Butch getting in the way of his seemingly impromptu insertion and the awkwardness that might ensue. Me being one. But don't you think his admiration of Tennessee is genuine enough for him to see Butch as a problem? I mean... he's an Alfa dog watching a wanna be run something he is a part of into the ground. Get outa my way dood!

My thoughts after several beers, I have no inside information, it's just the buzz talking.

Butch has been given his two weeks notice, a buyout has already been agreed upon and it is contingent on him coaching the Alabama game if he beats the Cocks, if not, it will be announced on Sunday.

Gruden was in town to visit his son, but it was also a business trip.. A formal offer was made.

God, those frat boys are going to get trashed and beg him to come, he's going to troll the **** out of them.

He's accepted the offer, if Butch loses to the Cocks, Gruden announces he's taking the UT gig on MNF, else it will be announced after Bama.
