In 2002, Battle Ground Academy grad, Troy Fleming, had 34 carries for 162yrds and 1TD in 13 games.

On November 11, 1989, Chuck Webb rushed for 162 yrds in a 52-9 victory over Akron. He finished the season with 1236 yrds and 12TDs.

On December 6, 1997, Peerless Price had 161 yrds and 2TDs in the 30-29 SEC Championship game victory vs Auburn.

I’m my opinion, Price is maybe the most underrated Vols in history. He played his best in the biggest games.

He became the head of the Physical Education Dept at UT and was named to the Tennessee Sports HoF, Greater Knoxville Sports HoF, and the Cotton Bowl HoF. He authored a book about Coach Neyland (“Football as a War Game—“)

Our current AD’s added 152 wins in his 17 years as HC.

I’m not sure how many wins he was a part of as a player or when he wasn’t HC. He only gets to add 5 to the total as AD. I expect 15 more by the time we win the NC this year.
