Bill Majors was a 2nd Team All SEC defensive back for the Vols and is remembered for his tackle vs LSU to secure a14-13 victory. He was also a single wing tailback. In 1960, Bill rushed 40 times for 166 yrds. Upon graduation, Bill was a assistant coach with Doug Dickey at UT until his tragic death in 1965. He is a member of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.
