On November 30, 1963, Mallon Faircloth rushed for 179 yrds in a 14-0 victory over Vandy.
He was the last “single wing” qb at UT!

excerpt from an article:
QB/RB/P/K/DB Mallon Faircloth : No really, Faircloth handled all of those roles for the Vols (1961-63). He threw for 1,230 yards and 13 touchdowns; rushed for 1,503 yards on the ground, scoring 10 touchdowns; punted and returned kickoffs and punts on special teams; and had five interceptions on defense in 1962. And he did all of this while wearing No. 43.

Todd Helton spent 3 years at UT as a player. He was the QB that Peyton Manning held the clipboard for, completing 55% of his passes throwing for 484 yards and 2 TDs, he ran for another 87 yards. He hit 38 home runs and struck out 172 as a left handed pitcher.
Peyton took over for Helton mid season for a reason. Let's just say Helton chose his pro sport wisely...lol.
