Most Vol fans remember Billy Ratliff recovering Clint Stoerner’s fumble. But it was the 197 yrds rushing by Travis Henry and his last minute td that secured the win!!

Garden State Bowl

Anthony Hancock had 11 receptions for 196 yards and 1 td in UTs 28-21 victory over Wisconsin. It was Coach Johnny Majors first Bowl win as UT coach!

On October 30,1954. Tennessee back Tom “The Bomb” Tracy set a then Vols record of 192 rushing yrds in a 26-20 victory over North Carolina. Tracy would be named All -SEC that year. That would be his last season in Knoxville. The next year he left before the season started. He went on to play in the CFL and was a 2X Pro Bowler for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
