Official "Beat Florida" thread

I don't particularly like UT's chances this year, on the road, at Florida. Seems like the Vols really struggle on the road, yes?

If you did like our chances, wouldn't that make you a Vol fan?

And we won't struggle on the road if we can find Casey Clausen another year of eligibility.

He'll be good, but unless he turns water into wine, feeds an entire stadium on nothing more than a loaf of bread and some fish, and permanently cures officiating crew blindness, it will be impossible for him to live up to the hype.

Ole Tebow might not be the same player if he has to be in for every play. How good would a lot of other players be if they could play one down and then rest for the next few. He is a big target too and likes to try for an extra yard or two instead of sliding and living for another play. I bet he is injured and out before the end of the year. Hope not, but I really don't see him finishing the year. Who is your backup?

If we are talking about talent-wise, you are crazy if you think Ainge is not superior to Clausen. We will have to give him another year to see if he is a better leader.

Here we go with another "talent" argument... :shakehead:

Ainge is not on Casey Clausen's level.

Ainge will be playing on Sundays, I would argue that Clausen is not on his level. To say Ainge is not even on Clausen's level shows what you know about football.

And you never specified in what way Clausen was a better quarterback.

Tee Martin's NC > Peyton's SEC Championship

So Tee Martin is better now? Dude, you lose, get over it.

Ainge is not Tee or Peyton or Heath or Casey.

You lose.

howso? We are comparing wins right? Therefore, Tee Martin is better than Peyton. Oh I see now. Wait, no I don't. Seriously dude, watch a football game, then argue. It usually helps in an argument when you know what you are talking about.

Just to clarify, I am comparing Ainge to Clausen in ability only. Clausen's record speaks for itself. Since we are arguing two different points, this could go on forever, so I will respectfully withdraw from any further argument on the issue.

I've watched plenty of UT football. Ainge is not on Peyton's level (obviously), Tee, Heath, Casey or Andy Kelly's level.

And I'm comparing Ainge to not just Clausen, but to just about every QB we've had since 1990.

I'm not trying to argue whether Tee is better than Peyton or whatever, but I got dragged into that anyway.

The main point is that Ainge is not as good as a few of you seem to believe he is.

He may be the best option we have right now (which is open for debate), but we've had better. That is all I'm saying...

Good night, and pleasant dreams... :snoring:
