does anybody have any idea if clawson or fulmer calls most of the shots? until i figure this out, i'm just not 120% percent sure i can blame the season on fulmer. call me crazy, but you can't help it if your kicker couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, if the refs make a terrible call, if jon crompton throws the ball 35 yards out of bounds on third and short or doesn't hand-off correctly, or if arian foster has a knack for fumbling, and so on. i do blame him for having undisciplined players that cause stupid penalties, for not figuring out crompton was terrible during the summer, and for the kick-off and punt coverage. but the playcalling has hurt ut the most this year. if we had cutty back i'm pretty sure we would have beaten ucla and auburn, and maybe uga, uf, and bama. the scores in our losses are misleading. even though they may score 30, 26, and 29, it's not all of the defense's fault. sure, in each loss the other team had at least one drive where they marched right down the field and punched it in. but the d can't help it if the o rushes for 1 total yard (vs. UGA), can't perform a simple task like a hand-off correctly or avoid running into a teammate (UF, UCLA and auburn), takes great field position and turns it into a turnover or missed field goal (i'm gonna take a wild guess and say every game so far), etc. the horrid playcalling is making me 99.9% ready to blame the season on clawson. until i find out phil's playcalling percentage, i just can't fully blame him. but wouldn't it be fulmer's fault that he hired this guy?

I don't think the play calls even matter that much right now.

I don't think you can let one of them go and keep the other...they both need to go

I think when you invest in a new offensive scheme you have to give it time develop. I am not so terribly upset about play calling as the inability to perform fundamental plays without penalties (false starts, etc). I blame the coaches for not running these plays hundreds of time in practice until they are perfect.

What have we done new this year?

I'm just tired of all of the excuses let's clean house and start over there is no way that it will get any worse especially after we play out the rest of the season i would bet even money with what games we have left winning more than 50% of them is a stretch

I've already stated we don't know how to practice, or we just don't get the kids attention in practice.

Apparently you're doing the word practice a disservice, calling what they do monday through friday practice. More like killing time.

Maybe we should donate more money and get these players some better facilities. Spoiling them some more and treating these 18-22 year old kids like kings is my best opinion in getting them fired up and motivated :banghead2:
