Offensive Line

Seems like the scheme is not going to lead to a smash mouth type offensive line like the old days. Based more on footwork and finesse blocks where the DL is walled off or pushed in a different direction. More fun to see an OL that fires off the line and blows the DL back but that's not this offense.

At any rate, with the experience returning and the highly rated RS Fr and incoming Fr, the OL had better be a strength over the next few years or the Vols will struggle.

Add Devante Brooks (listed at 6-5, 255) from last year's signing class. He was moved to OT in November and Jones said at the time that he was doing a "tremendous job" in practice and has a "natural skill set" to play there.

Also, Tatum is listed on the roster at 265 and Niehaus at 295.

The key question is this:

When Trey Smith and Paul Bain meet in a Circle of Life drill, what sort of energy shielding will be needed to protect the other players, coaches, the Hill, greater Knoxville, and The Great Smokey Mountain National Park from what will certainly be one hell of a shockwave?
