In 2015 we will have a good deal of VERY dangerous parts of our team.

Our backfield with Hurd leading the pack will be top notch.

If Dobbs busts his but in the off-season and works on his long ball, he could very well get Heisman votes..

Our receivers.. Talent out the Wazoo

On Defense.

Our front 7 are going to be beast mode. well our defense as a whole should be just amazing

My only real concern for next year..

Offensive Line.

What does it look like next year.. who red-shirted this year that could make an impact. Who looks to improve and help shore up this line? Who is coming in that could make an immediate impact?

If the coaches can get this unit up to par.. I really think 2015 can be a magical year for the vols. as every other unit on the team looks to be coming along very well.

Who has any idea at all what the 2 deep on OL might look like? Give me something to at least feel optimistic or hopeful about.

Redshirts, big Dontavious Blair at tackle and Raulerson who has potential and frame to add good weight. Big Mosley a probable new presence in the OL. Got a couple EE's that might could help. And to think that we had a couple true freshmen and 2 or 3 more 2nd yr men who can all add more strength and technique in the off-season. At least 3 upperclassmen starters returning. And we are not yet done recruiting! Lots of reasons to be patiently optimistic that there will be a strengthened whole emerge from the stronger pieces-parts.

I think they hope it is

LT Blair (Very unknown)
LG Jackson
C Thomas
RG Robertson
RT Kerbyson

If those guys can't step up then repeat of this year with the OL. Lot of movement trying to find answers

O-line will be much better, although that's not saying a lot because they allowed Worely to get destroyed for quite a games in a row. I thought they played better (especially in the bowl game) for the last few games though. It clearly helped hide how bad they were at time by having Dobbs who could handle mistakes and be evasive in the pocket.

Hopefully UT is developing those recruits from last year and spending as much time as possible working on their technique. It will be good to go ahead get the 2015'ers in the program and get them working on their bodies. UT has a lot of underclassmen that are now in the program so it will interesting to see who steps up for next year. Not sure what to expect tbh, but things look good for UT.

It's mostly just going to be that the guys are a year older, stronger, and more experienced. I don't think they'll be the strength of the team but they won't be a glaring weakness like this season either.

You're crazy if you think Coleman Thomas will take the Center job from Crowder or at the very least Weisman.

Hello, I've skimmed over this forum for a while but this is my first time posting. I'll just get right in it here. The O-line is my biggest worry as well. Granted, I'm sure our guys will be more experienced. But we really have to get the line to improve significantly beyond this past season. Dobbs with adequate pass protection could very well be the difference in competing for the East title and finishing 2nd or 3rd. I'm pretty confident about the other positions being good enough to get us to our next goal. It's just that fickle line that still has me most concerned. I wouldn't be opposed to another incoming freshman starting either, if he outperforms this summer.

Jack jones. Or one of the other fresan will start as well. Kerbyson is not sec caliber imo. Footwork and hand speed both never improved all year.

You would have to think our entire OL will have to be a little better, at least serviceable at the very least. They shouldn't be a glaring weakness considering they all will have another off season under their belt, plus we'll have some talented true freshman coming in that could make a splash somewhere along the line.

Jack Jones and Venzell Boulware are on ESPN's top 300 list and are committed Vols. We also have offered to several other top rated O linemen that are still pending. CBJ is a recruiting whirlwind. Who knows, maybe Pat Allen will commit.

Kerbyson can not play T... He can not handlle a speed rusher... He is a guard

I am not nearly concerned about the O-line play as I was going into this year. Granted, there may not be a lot of NFL type talent here, but the line will be stronger, more experienced, deeper, and benefit from Dobbs mobility and the addition of Kamara to help Hurd. My concerns for 2015 are depth at QB, a punter, depth at QB, depth at CB/Nickel back, depth at QB, and a MLB.

We all got to see what the OL was like without Crowder at Center. I'll agree with everything you have on your list except for that.

Gave you your first like just to welcome you aboard, but except for the very rare exception it is best not to have true freshman start on the Oline. If a team does start a freshman then normally they will have a lot of upperclassmen on the line as well to help cover any mistakes and weaknesses that the freshman might have. If we have one of these rare freshman then great, but till they prove it in practice and on the field then let's be glad for the experience gained this year in the trenches.

Hopefully an offseason in the weight room will make a big difference with even the guys who started this year. Jack Jones could make it interesting coming in next season. If they make the switch with Big Mosley on the OL, I hope they do it soon, so he can learn the offense.

I see the OL being:

LT - Blair
LG - Kerbyson
C - Wiesman
RG - Robertson
RT - Kendrick/Jones

I wouldn't think it's that far out of way. Both Crowder and Weisman left a lot to be desired at the center position. They absolutely lived on their backside. It was like being blown up off the ball was a part of their religion.

If Thomas isn't at C I do think he will take the RT spot Kerbyson isn't a tackle.
