Maybe it is just me, or is running the "G-Gun" every second down destroying any chance we have of our offense gaining a positive flow? Stephens did not look bad at all as QB, a few timing issues to work on, but that is normal with any quarterback starting his first game. I felt we were bringing him along slowly but steadily, letting him complete some short & simple passes to gain some confidence, but then we would run Jones out there for a short (if any) gain and then he would be stuck in another 3rd down situation. If we want to have 1 and only quarterback running the offense, we need to give him an opportunity to compete in every imaginable situation, seeing as how he will be starting his second game in Athens. But, just my opinion. Anyone else have any thoughts?

When it works, people wonder why we don't run it more. When it flops, people wonder why we ever run it. I don't care if I ever see it.

We don't run the G-Gun the right way, at the right times. So, it should go.

I thought I was the only one who saw it. Commentators announce it like it is something of legendary status, but honestly has only worked for 10-20 yards when GJ has to spin off at least 4 people. I was glad to see him throw it once in that package, although the pass was pretty errant. Its just not consistent. That is what we need, no matter how small, just some consistent receptions tailored with decent size runs. But if it were a perfect world I wouldnt be writing this...

i personally like it when it works or doesnt work. it keeps defense honest and occasionally like at auburn jones will break a big one...my only wish is that we threw more
