Out of all the times we see a run up the middle time and time again on 1st down, you finally choose to be bold on FIRST DOWN IN DOUBLE OT?!

I am proud of the team and their fight. But to get to that point in the game and that's what you draw up?

If it's 3rd or 4th down, okay, but it wasn't. That was straight garbage and can't believe these guys played that hard just to let it slip like that.

I realize the players made lots of mistakes, but that last play call was questionable at best.

That was on Dobbs. No pressure. He just needs to make a better decision there.

The team played a hell of a game. Fix mistakes, and there is nobody they can't beat.

If we had run it up the middle some would have questioned why we couldn't become more creative.....Damned if he does and damned if he dont.

This loss is squarely on the following things in order:

1) injuries
2) player execution
3) coaching
4) referees

People should never bash the OC again. The offense was lethal when it didn't shoot itself in the foot.

Dobbs made a very poor throw into double coverage. I highly doubt the play call was "throw it into double coverage as crappy as possible" but I could be wrong.

Or you know, Dobbs could have not thrown it there. The game plan and play calling was fine. I'd say it was the 7 turnovers that were the bigger issue.

Without a doubt.... never saw a replay, but it looked like that was a horrible decision.

At some point Dobbs has to be responsible with the ball in the red zone. Just because that play was called doesn't mean he has to attempt that throw come hell or high water. A SR QB has to realize that throw isn't there and go to his next read, tuck it and run, or throw it away. Same type throw (different play call obviously) vs Oklahoma in OT last year.

Do I like the play call in that situation? No, but your QB has to execute and improvise on the field when play calls are compromised. That looked like a similar play that we ran to Wolf vs Florida for a fingertip TD, and credit aTm for recognizing it and taking it away.

And yes, I acknowledge Dobbs played well and kept us in the game with some of his runs and clutch throws. That last play is on him though. He can't attempt that throw, and in Dobbs' defense, DeBord shouldn't trust him to execute that play.

I agree it was a poor call. Dobbs' worst throw is over the middle, especially on a short field where a safety can wait on it. It was a terrible throw, but why call the pass play there?

We had 4 downs to get 10 yds. That was desperate when there was no desperation needed.

Can't fault th team for an amazing comeback and Debord racked up some yards, yes...still a poor call. I will never have faith in him as a Top OC who can win a championship.
