If that's their wishes.... sure.... but it's not going against their wishes to suggest he'd have been a better option.... is it?.... oh wait.... he's white and you're all into black ....Shouldn't we honor the wishes of fallen service members and their loved ones?
Nah, eff em. Let's just use them for a political argument instead and crap on what they fought for like the right to protest. Good stuff.![]()
Referencing them as heroes is the new defecation fetish thing, huh? Even better stuff!Shouldn't we honor the wishes of fallen service members and their loved ones?

He was a hero. Nothing wrong with saying it. The wife didnt havea problem with people saying it.Referencing them as heroes is the new defecation fetish thing, huh? Even better stuff! If someone argues that Tillman actually made a sacrifice in comparison to boob teet baby Kaepernick, then THEIR right to voice that should also be championed by you and your higher minded lot...doncha think? Freedom for all or none at all.

She had a problem with the comparisons. Maybe we should honor her wishes. Or is it more important to try to manipulate the public's feelings? I know which one I value more.
Well when I start making the call for Nike you can complain then...... in the meantime try to come to grips with this being VNHe was a hero. Nothing wrong with saying it. The wife didnt havea problem with people saying it.

People can make it all they want. I can also point out that the family and according to them the actual guy don't and wouldn't want this to happen.Well when I start making the call for Nike you can complain then...... in the meantime try to come to grips with this being VN
My goodness..... I had no idea you were such a special kind of goofy.....People can make it all they want. I can also point out that the family and according to them the actual guy don't and wouldn't want this to happen.
Disrespect his memory all y'all want. I'm not the one crapping on a dead guy's morals to make a political statement.
Which comparisons? Enlighten. I know about his family’s disgruntlement and pain due to the military’s malfeasance surrounding his death, and any efforts to market his demise should be condemned. But none of us on THIS BOARD are going that route. To refer to him as an example of true sacrifice IN COMPARISON to Colin Kaepernick does nothing to disrespect Tillman or his family. He was a hero. His wife said do not make comparisons to CK. She said it is wrong to do and to leave PT out of it. People apparently don't care.Which comparisons? Enlighten. All due respect to her but there’s a point where family doesn’t have a say in what others say. She can control any efforts to monetize in his name, but when one is larger than life, they’re larger than their survivors. His wife said do not make comparisons to CK. What has Shaquem Griffen sacrificed that every other athlete in the the NFL has not? His story has nothing to do with some unique sacrifice. He didn't sacrifice his hand to play football. Waking up without a hand isn't a sacrifice. Working hard to play football is a sacrifice of your time and comfort. But his sacrifice is the same as everyone else. He simply is so good at football that missing a hand doesn't matter. His story is interesting because of sacrifice but because of perseverance.I admire you looking for a positive meaning, but the other examples in that ad should have stood on their own. He didn’t belong in it imo. When he references “sacrifice everything”, I don’t see his struggles to wake up in the morning to go to practice in the same vein as a kid born with a congenital defect in his hand. We’re supposed to connect all that with him showing his butt after he started sucking at football...and I refuse. No hate on your take...please respect my right to mine.
