Off to Nashville.

Cracker Barrel is a glorified Shoney's with a cheesy store attached to it.

I disagree. Cracker Barrel breakfast is much better than Shoneys. I wouldn't fly from Oregon for it, but it beats the heck out of Big Boy.

Eh... It was entirely home cooking from my aunt when I was there. We stayed at the Marriott by the airport, but were only there long enough to sleep and shower. The rest of the time literally was all at my aunt's place off of Tulip Grove road, except for the trip to Opryland. Once again, that place is ridiculously big.

The only thing I had other than my aunt's cooking was a pulled pork sandwich in the Nashville airport, when I watched the Vols beat Virginia.

Next time I go, I'll spend long enough to eat at a Cracker Barrell, or Fat Mo's, or South Street.

If you were in the Marriott by the airport then you were in Donelson, not Hermitage...

Tulip Grove Road is another matter... that is literally 5 mins from my house. :p :)

I know the Marriott was in Donelson, but I spent more time at my Aunt's house in Hermitage... :p

And of course the regoddamndiculous Opryland hotel and mall.

I live just off of New Hope Road south of I-40.

The mall isn't THAT big... but you're right... the hotel is pretty insane.

Some good stories though... So my uncle ended up there because he works for Gibson. We went to the Gibson store there (got some swag). This family goes in and starts playing some bluegrass and such together, violin, bass and guitar. I start country-shredding over it on a jumbo body. They dig it.

We also went to the Starbucks down the way, the one by Andrew Jackson and Old Hickory. My mom drops her order, which takes like 45 seconds to say, and the baristas up here, its a second language to them. She drops it there, and gets a ten second pause.

I dunno... Seemed pretty straightforward for me. Not really any different than when I visit Indianapolis or Dayton.

 That one across from Wal-Mart... I get my haircut in that shopping center. :)

You Oregonites have to understand that kids in our Starbuck's' (is that right?) just don't get the same crazy orders you guys have come up with over the years. :)

Oregonians.

And yes, our coffee culture is advanced by about 8 or 9 years.

Although I have never seen a drive-through Starbucks in the PNW.

They're all over the midwest...

Anyways, my uncle's house is way nice, and has lots of guest room. I'll probably be back for more time this summer. I'll get a hold of you, Wemus.
