Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee: Hunter didn't catch a boatload of passes last season, but when he did, he seemed to always make a beeline toward the end zone. Of his 16 receptions, seven went for touchdowns, including a long of 80 yards. He's going to be a top target for quarterback Tyler Bray and will have more opportunities to make plays now that he's moved up the depth chart.

I would say Poole except he's not off the radar, he's probably the front runner at this point.

Hunter is a possibilty but it's hard for a WR to win it. Bray would make the list for 2012 I think.

Caleb King being on that list is a joke

I could see Hunter with 50+ catches (easily) and around 1500 yards this year. Throw in anywhere from 15-20 TD's as well.

Front runner for the Heisman????? Or do you just mean the most likely canidate if you had to choose one from our team?

From a statiscal standpoint, Hunter is the most deserving choice on that list. Its a bunch of very talented unproven guys, but Hunter did so much more with the touches he had, he's the only one I can even convince myself has a snowball's shot.

For the record, I don't think he will win it. I also hope I'm wrong and goes all epic season / epic games vs. Florida and Bama.

Pooles not even a top 10 back. He may not even lead the team is rushes or yards by seasons end. Lane will end up starting by the end of the year, unless Poole has found some vision and speed over the past several months.

Unfortunately, having an orange T on your helmet excludes you from any chance at the HT! If Poole happens to run for around 3000 yards, his odds would go up to about 1 in 5.

Not saying, just saying.

Its very possible but he also has to be more focused than he was in the spring game, he had numerous drops. He is sure handed and just think he had a bad spring game.

That's close to Hunter's average though.

(Just pointing out how that rarely works in sports)

So what's your take on it? I think he's got all the skill in the world to have a monster year like that. He's the best reciever on the team and will be starting from day one. He's gonna get many more snaps and if his freshman year told us anything, it's "get ready for a show".

I don't think there's a receiver alive that can average 30 yards per catch over 50 receptions.

Considering that Meacham I believe still holds TN's all-time yardage record for a season with under 1300yds and he did so with "only" 11 td's your expectations for Hunter seem awfully...optimistic.
