Off Season Fixing?

Crystal Dangerfield as a freshman will be a serious downgrade compared to Moriah Jefferson as a senior. That should provide hope to the rest of the field.

A starting 5 of Dangerfield, Nurse, Samuelson, Williams and Butler will be good, but if SC with Cuevas, Grey, Davis, Wilson and Coates doesn't spank the living daylights out of them, then there is no hope for the other teams.

I'm thinking they are down to about 4th or fifth next season but still have to play the games. They want lose many as in their league Tennessee would be a big winner. I think their series with SC is over so have to look at their schedule they may be playing Notre Dame, Baylor, and Stanford. Hopefully someone can win the National title besides them next year.

If Geno wins the NC with that group...

I was gonna say that he would have cemented his place as Greatest Coach Ever in WCBB, but I think this 4-peat established that.

Anyway, I don't see them winning. They may not even make the FF. PLEASE let the field catch up and pass!

I agree they will not have the talent to be a Final Four team next year, but to say the field will catch up and pass them implies that the field is going to get better. I don't think the level of play in WCBB is going to be better next year. There will be more parity because the level of play at UConn is going to drop dramatically. They will lose three first team all-Americans (who will probably all be drafted in the top five next week). That makes UConn worse; it does not make the field better.

I'm still seeing it

SC
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Maryland
Baylor
Texas
UConn

At this time still need to see the final rosters.

UCONN will make the final four always if they play the first 4 games in their home state. That's the number 1 reason tourny time is unfair.

Well, yeah. What I mean is for the field to take advantage of UConn coming back down to earth and not let them ride their momentum.

Truthfully, UConn would be hard pressed to recreate the talent and efficiency of these past 4 years. They will continue to hunt, but it will be awhile before they are a WNBA team masquerading as a NCAA team again.

UConn would have made the Final Four playing on the home court of each of their opponents during the tournament. They were miles above the opposition. Where they played had no impact in them blitzing the field.

True but they still should have had to travel to do it.
