Attrition has seemed a bit high the past couple of off-seasons. Think that trend will continue? How many players do you think we'll lose between now and spring camp?

With this coaching carousel Butch could be looking for upgrades also. Wouldn't doubt a few transfers are being talked about right now...losing 5-10 is not out of the question... :)

GO VOLS!

He is talking about how other teams DO negatively recruit Tennessee based on fans bashing kids for transferring or dropping a pass.

All the big schools fans do this. We can negative cruig against them too

Thank you!
This will be the silly season thread to watch.

Even Swain is following my lead. I hop in the car and guess what he is talking about? Rumors of unhappy players ready to bolt.

More info?

He is saying it is normal as long as it isn't a ton of guys. He has his suspicions but said he wont speculate on air.

He did mention Dormady and Sherrion Jones. Why would they both stay? Dobbs is starting, and with the QB's 16 and 17 classes one of them will probably transfer.

He can't spell his name right either? :). So basically same spiel as on here?

Don't think I am the one we should be worried about....BORO is the one that will flip if an unnamed QB leaves...

He had previous work on here. You've based your entire posting history on Dormady transferring.

I think 4-6 will leave. Just looking at the roster and depth chart, that looks to be about the number of guys who don't stand much of a chance to carve out a very big role for the foreseeable future.

Of course, we have had guys who seem to be a season away from breaking through who leave a lot too.

Yeah his previous work is all based on Dormady and how we are going to miss him when he's tearing up the Big 12. He is a one sided coin same as you claim me, the only difference is you agree with him.:)

P.S. Don't forget all of his secret insider information...

He was a champion of Gruden? Like I said...he had previous work. :). You might notice, in a clear moment, that whenever someone declares EITHER is transferring? I ask questions? I seldom believe anything that is posited as gold on here. "I heard this" "He was heard saying that" "I noticed this ( YOUR personal favorite)...all a bunch of hot dirty bull air. One of these kids will transfer. NONE of us has a heads-up on who...that includes you. :)

I am sure he claimed insider information about Gruden coming too didn't he...I never claimed insider knowledge, I simply made a prediction!!! Everyone hated it but, it is still my opinion.

Honestly I would hate to see him leave because he is very talented, but I wouldn't want him to risk his future for loyalty to somewhere he isn't gonna play. Not saying that he won't play here just that I think he should do what is best for him, either way I am good. I just didn't see the chips falling to him here when I made my prediction. Once again it is JMHO nothing more.

There wasn't a consensus on your opinion...plenty of rational posters agree...A YEAR LATER. :w00t: Timing...very odd timing. They were still competing in their high school playoffs...running high school offenses. Dormady was reporting in a month...you already had him transferred out...just odd. :)

About a year ago I spoke to a sports writer about players transferring. According to him, most of this started in the SEC when Saban went to Alabama. I never pay much attention to other schools transfers, but it seems like a quick way to turnover a roster if you need to rebuild. With today's coaches making so much money and everyone wanting quick results, coaches are looking at ideas previous coaches may not have done.
