Man he will go # 1 or # 2 in the draft. Memphis will select him if they receive the 1st overall pick, any other NBA team will chose Kevin Durant first
Oden is not going to be the number one pick because of what he can do right now; it's all about potential. He's just 19 years old; he's still a gangly teenager. Imagine what a force he could be when his upper body fills out and he's spent a few years in the weight room. That's what has the NBA guys salivating over him.
Durant's probably a better player right now, but there are a lot more guys like him than there are true centers like Oden. If you've got the #1 pick and you think a guy has a legitimate chance to develop into an Olajuwon/Ewing/O'Neal type of player, you can't pass him up for a small forward, no matter how good a year the other guy had.
I have to disagree with that assesment. The NBA is loaded with Durant type players. As has been stated earlier, you can't coach size and Oden is a center that the NBA is short on. Don't get me wrong, Durant is a exceptional talent but he will be playing PF, not center.I have to disagree. Durant's game is just so far along for his age. Besides, there was noone in college basketball that is like Kevin Durant, and there aren't that many guys in the pros in the Durant mold either.

I'm looking forward to Shaq hammering Oden in the paint. Oden just thinks he gets away with fouling, wait til he feels Shaq's elbow in his jaw...
