Here is the thing. Pruitt is still fairly new to being a Head Coach.

I will be PERSONALLY shocked! .. if any candidates has already been a Head Coach within past 3 years. (sorry Hugh Freeze, McElain, Kiffin, and Mario Cristobal.)

Most likely it's going to be someone that Pruitt personally knows. When Pruitt hired Tyson, it was brought on by referral by Will Friend. I think originally Pruitt wanted Friend to be OC from get go but I think Friend didn't want to take that responsibility.

It's probably someone who is a QB or OL guy. Who has at least been an OC before. I doubt Pruitt will hire anyone who's never experienced being an OC .

Who can fit these requirements?

MIKE GROH- current offensive coordinator with Philly Eagles

JEFF STOUTLAND - current offensive line coach with Philly Eagles.

DOUG NUSSMEIER - current TE coach at Cowboys.... yeah I know he's been around the block, but who knows.

BRIAN SCHOTTENHEIMER --- current OC for Seattle but my guess is that he may take over USC Trojans if the job opens up.

BRYAN McCLENDON -- current OC for South Carolina. Probably Pruitt's NUMBER ONE GUY

ROB SALE --- current OC for Louisiana Cajuns...but he's still a risky hire.

A guy with previous OC success and a good recruiter is a MUST.

If the guy has previous HC experience then that’s a bonus and something I hope we pursue. Could lighten Pruitt’s load since he’s learning on the job.

Score points. Have a consistent offense. Recruit a good qb. Can't do anything with what we got.

"most likely"

"probably"

if we are going to speculate, can we at least stick with the reported candidates?

nah. let's see how much time we can waste in fantasy land.

oh! I forgot to play. it's pretty obvious to me that Pruitt favors bald guys. therefore:

Chip Lindsey
James Franklin
Terry Bradshaw
Mike DeBord.

Where did you get your hands on "THE REQUIREMENTS" for our next OC? That is pretty goo d inside information if accurate, or is it just your opinion and no requirements of UT at all? Cause you should really specify which when you make such bold statements.

Hire Hugh Freeze...He probably will be here for 2 to 4 years tops. Promote from within with someone Freeze can mentor and train the system to.

Our biggest weakness in the offense has been a lack of continuity...Line coaches, QB coaches, the systems that have changed and the last coach acted like he was drawing plays in the dirt.....

Example Debord working with a genius in Dobbs was able to make it work...I would hire Dooley over some of Helton's Listed Replacements.

Only 2 coaches that will be acceptable in the process based on what I have read on Volnation that fits what most describes what is best.

Freeze & McClendon

McClendon seems to do enough to get by at South Carolina and not sure if he is the one to push the rope.

Freeze is the answer and he is hungry to get back into the game.

Let's hire Hugh Freeze as OC, Bobby Petrino as WR coach, and Houston Nutt as RB coach. Oh, and Lane Kiffen just because I heard he couldn't keep his hands off the co-ed's. Kiffen can be OC in waiting or what-ever title you want to give him......... maybe douche bag almighty?

And instead of paying them a gazillon dollars we make their pay incumbent upon the output (points and yards) of the offense they create. Just need to set some base lines like 30 points a game and 400 yds of offense.

I simply want an OC that won't get us put on probation in a year or two...of course being a smart OC is a plus...also, someone not named Hugh Freeze...:D

GO VOLS...RECRUIT LIKE HECK!
